Sharon L. Taylor, Pastor
Pastor Sharon Taylor was raised in Warren County, New Jersey where she attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg. She attended Bloomsburg University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology/Social Work. Pastor Taylor has worked in youth ministry for 24 years. Her first position was as a Youth Staffer for Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod, followed by a position as Youth director at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon, New York. Pastor Taylor also worked as a social worker for the City of Philadelphia doing intake work at the Youth Study Center; the detention facility for juveniles.
In 1993, Pastor Taylor began seminary as a "second career" candidate and graduated in 1997 with a Masters in Divinity. She was ordained in February 1998 and has served as an Associate Pastor at St. Luke, Devon PA and St. John, Hatboro, PA. Pastor Taylor began her present call at LCR in March 2004. She is married to Rev. Timothy Taylor who is also an ELCA Lutheran pastor who serves at Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Upper Black Eddy, PA. They have two "boys", their dogs, Luc who is a two year old Bichon and Oscar who is a 2 1/2 year old Maltese. Pastor Taylor loves field hockey, drawing, the outdoors, and working with youth.

Bruce J. Thorsen, Minister of Music
Rev. Bruce J. Thorsen is a Pastoral Counselor at the office of John C. Williams, M.A. in Doylestown, PA. He is an ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Bruce holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA; a Masters of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological School in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. He began his work in church music in 1975 and has held positions of organist or choir director or both throughout his career. One year was spent touring with a Christian Music Organization, Outreach for Christ Int. where he spent 1 tour as singer/keyboardist and another tour as a director. The two tours covered 26 states and five foreign countries. In his last music position, which he was in for 5 years, he was the director of Spirit Free, a contemporary Christian music worship group at Family of God Lutheran Church in Buckingham, PA.
