Praise-A-Palooza 2007

Praise-A-Palooza 2007,held on Saturday, October 6, 2007, was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! The day was marked by beautiful weather, the Thrivent Builds Mobile, several talented Christian praise bands, a special performance by AGAPE, and lots of visitors.

Featuring a special performance by AGAPE (www.hiphopoutreach.com). Agapé (Dave Scherer) has inspired youth from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Spokane, WA with his relational ministry "Hip Hop Outreach." Using Rhythmic American Poetry (rap), he is able to reach the young people of today in a way that they really "get it." He combines dancing, rapping, storytelling and his fluency in Spanish to captivate his audience and challenge them to explore their faith in God. With his passion for diversity, he invites people to bridge the gaps that exist in today's society. He has produced two CDs and travels across the country with his ministry.

The Thrivent Builds Mobile (www.thriventbuilds.com/mobile) is a bright red multimedia exhibit on wheels that tells the story of poverty housing in America and the simple steps we can take to be part of the solution. This was the first visit to the area for the incredible exhibit.
