YOUTH MINISTRY AT LCR

YOUTH LEADERSHIP AT LCR

Youth are an integral part of our leadership at LCR. Some areas where our youth presently serve: worship assistants, church council, committee work, Arise Praise Team, junior and chime choirs, building expansion, Disciples with Special Needs and PraiseKids Teams, youth groups, Christian Education and VBS teachers and assistants, special worship instrumentalists, BoxCity Homelessness Awareness Project, Souper Bowl of Caring, HipHop worship, Wings of Faith.

LCR has two youth ministries - the 3-4-5 youth group for youth in grades 3, 4, and 5 meet monthly, usually the third Sunday of each month, from 3-5 p.m. at LCR. Friends are always welcome. Please see Pastor Sharon Taylor with any questions.

The Youth Ministry program is for youth in grades 6-12. Our Senior youth (Grades 9-12) and Junior Youth (Grades 6-8) may meet individually some months, and as a combined group for other activities. Please check the church calendar for information regarding meeting dates and times.

YOUTH MINISTRY AS OUTREACH

Part of our mission is to reach out to the youth of our community. All are welcome to LCR youth events, and many LCR youth bring their friends to both worship and youth ministry sponsored events.

YOUTH MINISTRY OF THE WIDER CHURCH

LCR youth participate in synod youth events including, the Junior High Event, Senior High Event, and Helping Hands Days. We also are planning to attend the next ELCA national youth gathering in the summer of 2012. Fundraising meetings for this trip begin in September 2010.
